I had a three-night stay at the Renaissance Hotel at World Golf Village, and while it was pleasant, the hotel definitely feels dated and needs some updates. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the cleanliness and state of some facilities were lacking, which impacted my experience. The breakfast selection was cold, but we discovered a fantastic place nearby called Caddy Shack for great food and service.
Rooms
6.0
Our room had some maintenance issues, namely a leaking shower and wear on the facilities, but the comfortable bed and furnishings helped make our stay bearable.
Service
8.0
The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating, and he genuinely cared for our needs during our stay.
Location
7.0
The location is a bit isolated, which can be a plus if you're looking for some quiet time, but it feels somewhat far from downtown St. Augustine.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast offered was quite underwhelming, with most items being served cold. However, the conference banquet food was surprisingly good with top-notch steak and chocolate cake.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel facilities are in need of some serious updating, particularly the restaurant and cleanliness in common areas. The shuttle service was convenient for and helped us explore the surrounding area.

6.6/10
My overnight stay was mostly pleasant, with a quick check-in and a clean room, but the breakfast buffet left much to be desired. While the room was standard and fine for a night's rest, the shower pressure was disappointing, and the buffet quality could be improved. Overall, I would stay again but skip the breakfast next time.
Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and typical for a hotel, featuring two double beds.
Service

I have to say, I was really looking forward to my stay, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The highlight of the experience was definitely Cham's exceptional service, which made me feel very well taken care of. On the flip side, I found the room quality and dining options to be underwhelming and overpriced, which was disappointing for a resort spa. Overall, while the service was exceptional, there were significant drawbacks that need addressing.
Rooms
5.0
The room was clean but not as comfortable as I hoped, and I had to request maid service after the first night. It felt like it hadn't been cleaned prior to my stay which was quite off-putting.
Service
10.0
Cham's hospitality was top-notch; he was incredibly welcoming and attentive to all my needs, making my stay memorable.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location was decent, but it felt quite isolated, especially since I had to drive miles to find other places to eat.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing-the prices were steep for breakfast, and the quality did not justify it at all.
Facilities
5.0
The overall facilities were adequate, but nothing to write home about. The lobby was also experiencing issues with rain coming in.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. On one hand, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the breakfast buffet was impressive. On the other, the noise from multiple weddings made it difficult to relax, and the surrounding area felt a bit desolate. Overall, not the best choice for a quiet getaway, but decent for the facilities offered.
Rooms
7.0
The rooms were large, clean, and well laid out, featuring a nice coffee counter. However, the fire alarm in our room was dangling, which was concerning for safety.
Service
8.0
The service was outstanding, with staff eager to assist and answer questions. Unfortunately, during an emergency test, there was no staff to guide us during the evacuation.
Location
6.0
The hotel is adjacent to the Golf Hall of Fame and a golf course, making it a good choice for golfers. However, the area surrounding the hotel feels abandoned, with many vacant retail spaces.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast buffet offered a great variety and was above average, definitely a highlight of my stay. However, I had an expectation of a sleeper sofa in the room that wasn't met.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel amenities like the pool and the golf facilities were enjoyable, but the pool area could use some upkeep, specifically regarding the loungers and towels.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On one hand, I found the staff to be incredibly helpful and the meeting rooms well-equipped, which made my convention stay enjoyable. On the other hand, the overall condition of the property is quite concerning, with several areas needing significant updates and maintenance, particularly in the rooms. It's a shame because the location is great for events and golfing.
Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, but definitely showed signs of wear and tear. A good upgrade would make a big difference.
Service
10.0
The service I received was excellent, especially from a Slovakian staff member who went above and beyond to assist me during the payment mishap.
Location
9.0
The hotel is ideally located near the Golf Hall of Fame and a beautiful golf course, making it convenient for both leisure and business events.
Dining
7.0
Room service offered some great options, and I particularly loved the BBQ wings. However, the breakfast buffet left much to be desired.
Facilities
5.0
While the meeting rooms were well-equipped, the overall facilities would benefit from updates and renovations.
